We only process the personal data of our users that is necessary to provide a functional website and to deliver our content and services. The processing of personal data is carried out only for agreed purposes or where there is a legal basis (in the sense of the GDPR). We collect only the personal data that is necessary to fulfill our obligations or that you have voluntarily provided.

III. Description and Scope of Data Processing
1. Provision of the Website
Each time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the accessing computer system. The following data is collected:

- User’s operating system
This information is stored for a maximum of 365 days to ensure the security and stability of our system.
2. Cookies
We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Cookies are small files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your device when you visit our website. These cookies remain stored until you delete them, allowing us to recognize your browser during future visits.

3. Contact Form

We use a double opt-in process for our newsletter. After you register, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. Your registration will only be completed after clicking the link.

5. Online Shop
To place orders in our webshop, you must register. The following data is collected:

- Company information (e.g., VAT/UID number)

The data is processed solely to fulfill your order based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR and retained as required by law (e.g., accounting obligations).
All payments are processed internally via bank transfer. No data is transmitted to external payment providers.
6. Access Restriction for Professionals
This webshop is exclusively intended for authorized professionals in accordance with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR, Regulation (EU) 2017/745). Products regulated by the MDR may only be sold to authorized professionals.
As part of registration, we verify that the purchaser has a valid VAT/UID number or other proof identifying them as an authorized professional.
7. Currency and Regional Restrictions
Deliveries to Liechtenstein and Switzerland are invoiced exclusively in CHF. Deliveries within the European Union are invoiced in EUR.
For transactions in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Austria, the applicable VAT is charged. Intra-community supplies within the EU (except AT) are tax-exempt with a valid VAT number.
Some products, especially of the brand MAJOR, may only be distributed in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The webshop automatically checks delivery eligibility for these products.
8. Regulatory Responsibilities (MDR)
In accordance with Article 15 of the MDR (Regulation (EU) 2017/745), NOVODENT has appointed an internal qualified person responsible for regulatory compliance. The contact details of this person will be provided to the relevant authorities upon request. For privacy reasons, this information is not made publicly available to customers or website visitors.
9. Statistical Evaluation
We use an internal statistics system (xostats) to anonymously analyze the usage of our webshop. No personal data is collected or shared. Only technical information such as screen resolution, color depth, and JavaScript activation is recorded.
IV. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data from manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Personal data is transmitted exclusively via encrypted connections (SSL/TLS).
V. Data Retention and Deletion
Personal data is stored only as long as necessary for its intended purpose or as required by law. After the purpose has been fulfilled or the legal retention period has expired, the data will be deleted.
